In more fun teeth-kicking news from November, there is a wildfire burning (several miles) up the road from us. Well, the local weather and nature seem convinced that winter is over - flowers blooming, bees buzzing, trees budding, me not needing a jacket to go outside or a blanket to sit around inside, bugs still trying to get in the house so they can die of dehydration... Last night I learned that our local woods are home to flying squirrels, by dint of my cat leaving us a dead one on the porch. THANKS, CAT. How the fuck did she even catch one? Regrettably, the weather has turned wet, but the sudden rain onslaught coincided with the start of shark week, so it doesn't make too much difference for me. Oh no, an excuse to lay around reading actual books instead of meme, HOW TERRIBLE.
